I do this little walk, it takes you up the Great Lines in Chatham, across the big field and in to Gillingham. The reason - good charity shopping. And the view. You can, you know, breathe up there, on the lines. x See what I found this morning.
is absolutely amazing. A zillion lakes, deep and dark and sweet. Miles after miles with tight forests, filled with trolls and älvor, moose, bear and wolf. Big giants turned into mountains. Fields to hide in and boats to row. And the light. THE light.
I have to go there soon. I miss it. xxx
But England's pretty good too today. Sunshine and friends. Love
Toasted german rye bread with cheese, rocket sallad, cucumber and cherry tomatoes. Plain yogurt with muesli, and a black coffee. There you go, a typical breakfast at mine.
Me and my bike. Will ride as fast as I can, to make my hair messy in the wind. Will buy some film for my old camera. Walk up the hill. Make paperbirds with Jane, maybe put a flower in my hair. Then drive on the big roads, find the little roads, find my friends new house and warm it up with the people I haven't seen for so long. It's gonna be good.
So many things spinning in my head. Making 'characters' and 'nature of the call' situations for a role play for tomorrow. Working in a school - bringing creative thinking into teaching kind of thing. Also made a new fascinator hat today. Purple with black netting and a bird on! Crazy but cute. Swapsie for a knitted beret, yay!
Got an exhibition this summer! More to follow on that later...
For all you Medway folks, come to the great lines this saturday to be part of artist Jane Pitt's new project 'Flutterance's' . For more info go here. I'll be there making 100's of paper birds!
